2-Bronopol is antimicrobial agent which is used for oil field & air washer systems, absorbent clays, paper mills, metal working fluids, & printing inks. It shows stability to hydrolysis in aqueous solution and has effectiveness against grams positive & negative strains including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This compound is also known to have low mammalian toxicity with excellent antibacterial activity.
